Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Location: Hybrid role based in Irvine, California. Exceptional candidates with strong workers’ compensation defense experience may be considered for a remote arrangement.

Note: You must be an active member of the California Bar in good standing and have at least 1 year of litigation experience.

Job Description

• Handle workers’ compensation defense matters through all stages of litigation
• Attend hearings, manage discovery, take and defend depositions, and support motion practice
• Draft reports, pleadings, legal correspondence, and other litigation documents
• Evaluate claims, analyze exposure, and help develop effective defense strategies
• Communicate proactively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and team members
• Work closely with experienced attorneys who provide mentorship and training
• Partner with dedicated support staff to produce high-quality, timely work
• Build a long-term practice with a firm in growth mode and a strong reputation in the market

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing
• 1 year of litigation experience required
• Workers’ compensation defense experience preferred, but not required
• Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Motivated, professional, and able to manage cases and deadlines effectively
• Comfortable with technology and modern case management tools
