Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Location: This is a full-time, in-office role based in downtown Jacksonville, FL. After your initial onboarding period, day-to-day flexibility may be available with approval — the firm is committed to setting you up for success before loosening the reins.

Note: Candidates must hold an active Florida Bar license or be currently scheduled to sit for the July 2026 Florida Bar Exam. Only candidates with a J.D. from an accredited law school will be considered. This role is not open to relocation package assistance at this time.

Job Description

• Advocate for clients across a range of insurance defense matters including Premises Liability, Trucking, BI/Auto, and Workers' Compensation
• Draft and prepare legal documents including motions, pleadings, orders, letters, and memos with precision and clarity
• Conduct thorough legal research across a variety of substantive and procedural topics
• Assist senior attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and other proceedings
• Manage an active caseload while maintaining strong organization and attention to detail
• Collaborate with team members to develop case strategy and deliver excellent outcomes for clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school (required)
• Active Florida Bar membership OR scheduled to sit for the July 2026 Florida Bar Exam
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Adobe
• Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
