What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead position at Orion Landscapes?
We are looking for a professional landscaper/gardener with leadership skills to join our team! Applicants should bring a good attitude, a strong work ethic, a love for plants, and the ability to work as part of a small crew in the field of landscaping. Our maintenance route requires an understanding of all sorts of plant material, so confidence with identification and seasonal care is an important must. Experience running maintenance equipment is also a must. We need the applicant to have a valid driver's license and ability to drive a truck and trailer as well.
We are an established small business in Eugene that has an excellent client base with some great gardens to work in. We try to operate as organically as possible using no pesticides or herbicides. Our aim is to remain a small business, concentrating on professionalism, taking care of our gardens, and taking care of our crew. We are looking to add a great fit to help fill out our staff moving into the future.
Crew Lead position is $20-23/hr DOE with room to grow. We offer six paid holidays throughout the year. We also offer 40 hours of PTO after a year of employment and every subsequent year. Responsibilities
- High quality maintenance service caring for seasonal perennial gardens, small trees & shrubs, as well as lawn care. Using knowledge and technique to ensure a healthy landscape for the long haul.
- Quickly learn maintenance route with the goal of assuming a leadership role.
- Run two man crew through daily activities and schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources. This also includes ability to teach technique and ID if necessary.
- Help maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues to management.
- Ensure all tasks are done as safely as possible.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
