POSITION PURPOSE
Orion Financial is seeking a Director of Network Architecture to oversee the design, development, and management of our enterprise and cloud networking infrastructure. Based in Memphis, TN, this role requires both strong technical expertise and the ability to lead a team in delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing network solutions. This position will play a key role in advancing Orion Financial’s technology capabilities.
Essential Functions And Basic Duties
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field required. Masters preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS: CCNP, CCIE, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect.
Experience Required: A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in network architecture and engineering,
or administration. At least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
Required knowledge: Proven experience with AWS and Azure networking design and implementation. Hands-on expertise with Cisco Meraki solutions. Strong understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN. Deep knowledge of security framework and compliance standards relevant to financial services. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership abilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is generally carried out in a typical open office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the working conditions are those of a typical office environment, with temperatures occasionally too warm or too cold, moderate noise levels and under lighting conditions typical of an office.
PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at a desk and in meetings for long periods of time on a continuous basis; intermittently twist to reach equipment surrounding desk; perform simple grasping and fine manipulation with fingers; reach with hands and arms; use a telephone or other electronic communication devices; stand for long periods of times at counter, printers; communicate orally and through written means; use standard office equipment such as computers, printers; write or use a keyboard to perform assigned duties; bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist while checking equipment; occasionally stand and/or walk over both even and uneven ground; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; hearing and vision within normal ranges with or without correction.

- Develop and maintain network architecture and design for enterprise and cloud environments to support the current and future needs of the credit union.
- Lead cloud integration efforts by designing, deploying, and optimizing networking services in AWS and Azure.
- Manage the implementation and full lifecycle of Cisco Meraki solutions across multiple branch locations to ensure consistent and reliable network infrastructure.
- Ensure security and compliance by making certain that networks adhere to industry best practices and regulatory requirements within the financial sector, through developing, updating, and continuously monitoring disaster recovery plans, information security protocols, loss prevention strategies, antivirus and firewall protections, and other critical safeguards.
- Drive operational excellence through proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and reliability of network services.
- Provide team leadership by mentoring and guiding network engineers and administrators to foster a collaborative and effective technical team.
- Promote collaboration by working closely with IT, cybersecurity, and other departments to align network architecture with overall organizational goals.
- Support continuous improvement by staying current on emerging technologies and recommending enhancements that improve network efficiency and security.
- Other related duties as assigned.
