At Gallo Glass Company in Modesto, California, you’ll be part of the team that powers our glass supply, working alongside experienced technical leaders and engineers on real production challenges in Hot End Forming, Cold End Inspection, Furnace/Batch, and Warehouse areas.
As a Glass Engineering Intern, you will support project management, controls, asset start‑ups, process design, mass balances, equipment sizing, purchasing, construction management, commissioning, and stabilization activities. You will help develop equipment setups and documentation, run time and capability studies, define critical parameters, and apply Lean Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement. You’ll collect and analyze data, develop and present improvement ideas, and collaborate with suppliers, engineers, and production teams to implement solutions that improve reliability and performance.

What You'll Need
- Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in the School of Engineering; or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Engineering.
- Requires availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
- Available for the entire duration of this internship program – July through December 2026
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Junior or Senior class standing at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Familiarity with statistical software.
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis methods.
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving skills.
