Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations are consistently achieved. The Production Manager will lead production teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
· Manage daily production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
· Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production employees.
· Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing and resources to meet customer demands.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and quality standards.
· Analyze production metrics and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
· Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Human Resources to resolve operational issues.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
· Manage labor costs, overtime, and departmental budgets.
· Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and corrective action when necessary.
· Investigate production issues and implement long-term solutions.
· Promote employee engagement and maintain a positive work environment.
· Participate in strategic planning and operational improvement projects.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
· Experience supervising production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
· Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
· Lean or Six Sigma certification.
· Experience with ISO quality systems.
· Experience in footwear, apparel, or consumer goods manufacturing is a plus.
