What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Professional Organizer — Lead and Team Organizer Opportunities position at Organized Calm LLC?
Organized Calm is looking for experienced professional organizers to join our team. We have opportunities for both team organizers who prefer to focus on hands-on organizing and organizers with the experience and interest to take on a Lead Organizer role.
We help clients create beautiful, functional homes through thoughtful decluttering, customized organizing systems, packing, unpacking, and move-in setup.
This could be a great fit for someone who loves professional organizing and working with clients but prefers being part of an established team without managing the business side.
What you’ll do
- Organize kitchens, pantries, closets, bedrooms, bathrooms, playrooms, offices, and other household spaces.
- Support packing, unpacking, and whole-home move-in projects.
- Create practical, attractive organizing systems tailored to each client’s home, routines, and preferences.
- Support clients through decluttering with patience and a nonjudgmental approach.
- Select and use appropriate organizing products, with careful attention to layout, labeling, and finishing details.
- Work efficiently, take initiative, and maintain a tidy, safe workspace.
- Collaborate with our team and follow our standards.
Team Organizer opportunity
This role is ideal for experienced organizers who enjoy hands-on work without responsibility for consultations or overall project leadership. You’ll work under a Lead Organizer, taking ownership of assigned spaces and tasks while contributing your ideas and expertise.
Lead Organizer opportunity
Candidates with proven organizing and leadership experience may also take responsibility for:
- Conducting client consultations and identifying project needs and priorities.
- Planning and leading projects from preparation through the final walkthrough.
- Delegating tasks clearly and supporting team members.
- Managing time and coordinating multiple spaces and moving parts.
- Effectively lead the team, keeping everyone on task and projects progressing efficiently toward timely completion.
- Serving as the main client contact during projects, setting expectations and communicating progress.
- Coordinating product needs and ensuring completed spaces meet our standards.
- Occasionally assist our inventory/operations manager with transporting organizing product before and after projects.
Lead Organizers must also be comfortable working as a supporting organizer under other leads on some projects.
What we’re looking for
- Previous paid professional home-organizing experience.
- Experience with unpacking and larger home projects; whole-home move-in experience is especially valuable.
- Strong knowledge of organizing products and how to create systems that are easy to maintain.
- Excellent attention to detail and an eye for both function and presentation.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to maintain an efficient pace.
- Warm, professional communication and respect for client privacy.
- Flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to stay calm when plans change.
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to receive direction.
- Reliable transportation to client homes throughout the Dallas area.
- Ability to carry out active work involving standing, bending, reaching, and safely moving organizing supplies and household items.
Schedule and location
We are seeking someone available at least 3-4 weekdays per week for projects generally scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Work takes place in client homes throughout the Dallas area, primarily Dallas and the northern suburbs up to Frisco, and west to Southlake. Availability for the full project day is important, and finish times can vary.
We offer flexible scheduling: Set your availability and have control over your schedule, with projects booked around the days you’re available.
We are consistently busy, but scheduled days and hours depend on client bookings and cannot be guaranteed.
Hourly Rate: Highly dependent role and experience
