About the Role:

The Program Manager - Cyber Security will lead and coordinate comprehensive cybersecurity initiatives to protect organizational assets and data across multiple projects and teams. This role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and maintaining security programs that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will oversee risk management strategies, ensuring vulnerabilities are identified and mitigated proactively. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, compliance, and executive leadership to drive security awareness and foster a culture of security-first thinking. Ultimately, this position ensures the organization's cybersecurity posture is robust, resilient, and continuously improving in response to evolving threats.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in program or project management within cybersecurity or IT security domains.
• Proven knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale cybersecurity transformation programs with an annual budget of at least $2.5 Million and a team of 15-20Personnel operating under stringent federal security compliance frameworks (e.g., DoW RMF, CUI)
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and security compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.

Required Certifications:

• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
• Cloud: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar cloud provider
• Cybersecurity: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) CISM, or CISA.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage cybersecurity program plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to implement security controls and compliance measures.
• Monitor and report on program performance, risks, and issues to senior management and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead risk assessments and vulnerability management efforts to identify and address security gaps.
• Facilitate communication and training initiatives to promote cybersecurity best practices across the organization.
• Ensure alignment of cybersecurity initiatives with industry standards, legal requirements, and organizational policies.
• Manage incident response planning and support investigations in collaboration with security teams.

The Program Manager will utilize project management skills daily to plan, execute, and monitor cybersecurity initiatives ensuring they meet scope, time, and budget constraints. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating between technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership to align objectives and report progress effectively. Analytical skills are applied to assess risks, interpret security data, and make informed decisions to mitigate threats. Leadership and interpersonal skills enable the manager to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster collaboration across departments. Additionally, knowledge of cybersecurity principles and frameworks guides the development of compliant and resilient security programs that protect organizational assets.
