JOB DESCRIPTION
CAFETERIA CUSTODIAN
Under supervision to perform custodial duties in the kitchen/dining areas of assigned school(s); Ensuring you have the supplies on hand and ready for daily work; picks up trash after breakfast and during lunch as needed, from the lunchroom; puts down and picks up tables before and after lunch, sweeps and mops cafeteria, cleans spills and accidents appropriately during lunch duty and performs other job related work as required.
SUPERVISION
Supervision is received from the District Manager. No supervision is exercised over other district employees by the cafeteria custodian.
Cleaning methods;
Cleaning materials, disinfectants and equipment used in custodial work
Perform heavy manual labor;
Lift heavy objects on a regular basis (as evidenced by physical exam); Work cooperatively with staff members;
Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Some experience in performing janitorial or custodial duties is desirable.
EDUCATION
Equivalent to graduation from high school or high school diploma.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will often work outside and inside. In a variety of seasonal weather.
Must be able to work with the public and other workers.
The noise level in the environment is usually moderate to loud noise level.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Performs cleaning and custodial duties for kitchens/dining areas Performs maintenance and restoration duties for kitchens/dining areas Loads and unloads delivery trucks
Understands and carries out oral and written directions
Speak with Staff/Students in professional manner
Be on time and ready to work
Assists with other misc. lunchroom cleaning and organizing tasks.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all OrganicLife requirements, including but not limited to:
Ø Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ø Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels
Ø Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation
Ø Ability to bend and twist, stoop, kneel, push and pull
Ø Ability to use dominant hand repeatedly
Ø Ability to use both hands repeatedly
Ø Ability to lift 100 pounds
Ø Ability to carry 70 pounds
Ø Ability to reach in all directions
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
