Position: Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with overtime as required

ORG Services is seeking a dependable and meticulous Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician to join our team at Affinity Grow, Connecticut’s premiere cannabis micro-cultivator. The Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician plays a critical role in the processing of cannabis by all post-harvest duties. The ideal candidate will strictly follow all company procedures and regulatory guidelines during all phases of operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute all post-harvest activities, including drying, shucking, trimming, and curing of cannabis flower and biomass.
• Maintain accurate inventory records as per company procedure and state regulatory requirements.
• Follow company procedures to clean all tools, equipment, and work areas after harvest.
• Support operational needs by completing additional tasks assigned by leadership.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive motions, and lifting or carrying items.
• Strong foundational knowledge of horticulture, plant anatomy, pest management, and cultivation practices.
• Familiarity with cannabis-specific harvest processes, including trimming, drying, and curing.
• Hands-on experience with trimming and curing tools and equipment.
• High attention to detail in handling cannabis flower and biomass.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking capabilities.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with others.
• Willingness to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow gowning protocols.
• Comfortable working in fluctuating environmental conditions (e.g., varying temperature, humidity, lighting).
• Familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local cannabis regulations is a plus.
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Some experience or training in agricultural or horticultural practices.
• Exposure to post-harvest processing, handling, and quality control is preferred
• Previous experience with commercial cannabis harvesting or cultivation is strongly preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the facility.
• Must be able to consistently work 40 or more hours per week.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
• Must be physically able to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Must meet all legal and company-specific requirements to work in the cannabis industry.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check if requested per state requirements.
