Cannabis Cultivation Technician

Position: Cultivation Technician

Schedule: Full time, 1st shift, Monday to Friday with overtime as required.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Overview:

ORG Services is seeking a diligent and reliable cannabis Cultivation Technician to join our team at Affinity Grow. This role supports the healthy development of cannabis plants from the cutting stage through to harvest. This role is vital to ensure the success of cultivation operations by following best practices and maintaining rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee cultivation rooms, ensuring plant health, canopy management, and optimal environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, CO₂).
• Monitor and maintain fertigation systems, including nutrient levels, EC, pH, and water temperature.
• Communicate with team members and leadership on plant health, integrated pest management (IPM), and equipment issues (irrigation, lighting, tables, etc.).
• Manage plant care activities such as potting, de-leafing, staking, trellising, and sanitation.
• Ensure clean and sanitary workspaces through the regular cleaning of tools, equipment, and rooms.
• Adhere to all required PPE protocols (gloves, uniforms, hair and beard nets, shoe covers, etc.).
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Cultivation Manager and leadership.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive motions, and lifting or carrying items.
• Solid foundational knowledge of horticulture, plant anatomy, pest management, and cultivation best practices.
• Familiarity with cannabis-specific harvest processes such as trimming, drying, and curing.
• Hands-on experience with trimming and curing tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail when handling cannabis flower and biomass.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Commitment to following all PPE and gowning protocols.
• Comfort working in fluctuating environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, lighting).
• Familiarity with relevant federal, state, and local cannabis regulations is a plus.
• Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Reliable transportation to and from the facility is required.
• Ability to consistently work 40 hours per week.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
• Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Ability to work at heights and safely use ladders when required.
• Must meet all legal and company requirements to work in the cannabis industry.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, if required by state regulations.
• Previous experience with commercial cannabis is a plus.
