Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload furniture, boxes, and equipment using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary
- Pack items securely using appropriate packing materials to prevent damage during transit
- Assist with disassembly and reassembly of furniture or equipment as needed for transport
- Drive box trucks or commercial vehicles with manual or automatic transmissions to designated locations following established routes
- Ensure all items are accurately loaded, secured, and accounted for before departure
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about the moving process and addressing any concerns professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of moving trucks, storage areas, and packing supplies
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with moving operations is preferred
- Valid driver’s license with experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles; commercial driving experience is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during loading and unloading tasks
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is advantageous but not required; training will be provided if necessary
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Comfortable working in physically demanding environments with manual labor involved in moving and packing tasks
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols for delivery drivers is desirable
