Bar Manager

Overview

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Bar Manager to lead our dynamic bar team and elevate the guest experience. Duties

• Lead and supervise the bar team, including staff training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure high standards of service and efficiency
• Oversee food preparation and beverage service, ensuring quality control in line with health and safety regulations
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
• Operate POS systems for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures across all operations
• Supervise kitchen operations related to bar service, including food production for cocktails, snacks, or light meals
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and create a lively yet professional environment that encourages repeat visits
• Conduct staff interviews, onboarding, ongoing training & development to foster a motivated team culture
• Analyze profit and loss reports regularly to identify opportunities for growth and cost control
• Coordinate shift management ensuring smooth transitions between team members during busy hours

Requirements

• Proven experience managing bars or restaurants with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and beverage service
• Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising hospitality teams within casual dining or fine dining settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing and cash handling
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to health regulations
• Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis within the food industry
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
• Previous experience in managing hospitality teams through training & development initiatives
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Kitchen management experience including food production or catering is highly desirable
• Hospitality management background with a focus on team leadership and operational excellence

Pay: $24.00 - $40.00 per hour
