Job Summary:
This role is responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance department to establish, maintain, and monitor
processes and procedures and ensure products meet established quality standards, food safety
standards, and customer expectations. The employee must have thorough knowledge of supplement
manufacturing operations to work independently from start to finish. The primary function of this job will
be collaborating to establish and maintain quality assurance systems that ensure food safety and the
manufacture of products that meet specifications. It requires following all SOP’s (Standard Operating
Procedures) to ensure all products are compliant with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Good
Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations; NSF GMP standards; SQF food safety certification standards;
non-GMO (genetically modified organism), Oregon Tilth organic, and Demeter Biodynamic certification
standards; and our exceptionally high manufacturing standards.
Key Function/Job Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols and processes.
2. Conduct audits and inspections of products and processes.
3. Document and report product or process food safety and quality nonconformances.
4. Collaborate with other departments to resolve quality nonconformances.
5. Establish and maintain quality documentation and records.
6. Ensure compliance with certification standards and regulations.
7. Assist with overseeing supplier qualification/review and resolving supplier nonconformances.
Qualifications/Skills:
Education: A bachelor’s degree in food science, biology, chemistry, or a related field is required.
Certification: NCRC Preferred
Experience: One to five years of experience in quality, food, inspection, testing, or a similar environment
