The Klamath Falls campus offers two housing facilities with a third coming online April 2026 to allow students to stay on campus as they study, which comes with a host of perks. In addition to convenience, staying on campus has been shown to improve academic success. Position Summary
This position supports the operation of housing on campus. Housing and Residence Life facilities and programs are designed to enhance and support the institutional mission.
Housing and Residence Life’s mission includes providing a reasonably priced living environment that is clean, attractive, and well maintained. This position supports the maintenance and custodial teams in the Oregon Tech Housing facilities.
This position involves assisting with daily maintenance issues and maintenance related projects as well as custodial duties.

Minimum Requirements
- Experience with basic plumbing such as renewing washers and valves, cleaning and opening drains and other water lines, etc.
- Experience with basic carpentry such as installing shelves, doors, handrails; preparing building materials; basic carpentry repairs, etc.
- Experience with basic electrical repairs/maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, checking circuit breakers, etc.
- Experience with basic interior and exterior painting in residential and commercial facilities.
- Experience using power tools such as drills, saws, carpet machines, buffing machines, snow blower, etc.
- Experience using personal protective equipment, SDS sheets, and established safety procedures.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Current, valid driver’s license and ability to clear driving records check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing routine equipment repair and maintenance.
- Experience performing various aspects of custodial work including vacuuming, cleaning facilities, and trash/recycling removal.
