The mission of OMEF is to make Oregon the premier state to study and practice medicine through scholarships, grants, and wrap-around programs for MD, DO, and PA students.
The Opportunity
In this role as chief fundraiser, you will work with the Executive Director and Board to identify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and successfully steward current and prospective donors to expand their financial support of our mission. Your portfolio will include cultivation and stewardship of individual, corporate, and foundation partner relationships.
Qualifications
· Three to five years’ experience developing and executing successful fundraising strategies Securing gifts of five-and six-figure gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporate sponsors is required
· Experience in or familiarity with medical education, medical- or healthcare-related fields
· A growth mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a positive attitude
· A strong work ethic, high integrity, and a donor-service focus
· Proficiency in MS Office and donor CRM tools is required. Familiarity with design tools experience is desired

Special Working Conditions
· This is a hybrid position that includes remote work 3-4 days a week and in-person work 1-2 days a week at the SW Portland office. Will attend regular virtual and/or in-person meetings as needed.
· Full-time is defined as a 40-hour workweek and the schedule is somewhat flexible, Monday through Friday. Limited work in the evenings and on weekends is required as a function of this salaried position.
· Requires working under minimal supervision and direction
· Requires working under multiple deadlines
· Most prospective donors are based in the greater Portland Metro area; access to reliable transport is required. Actual and reasonable expenses such as mileage and/or parking on a personal vehicle will be reimbursed. Travel within Oregon is estimated at <10%. Must have valid drivers license, access to vehicle, and appropriate insurance coverage
· Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform duties proficiently.
· Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables
· Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time and move up to 20lb
