Position Summary: The Operations Assistant provides high-level, comprehensive executive support to the Associate Vice President for Finance and Controller, as well as to the Business Affairs Office (BAO) and the Budget and Planning Office (BPO).
The Operations Assistant manages the AVP’s calendar and serves as a primary liaison with the university community. They act as a campus resource by coordinating training and communications for campus stakeholders and supports the BAO through the management of various administrative tasks. This position has regular access to financial, budget, payroll, human resources, and other sensitive information, requiring a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
Departmental Information: The Business Affairs Office is responsible for: Accounting and Financial Reporting; Accounts Payable; Accounts Receivable (including Student Accounts and Cashier); Grants and Contracts – Post Award Administration; Payroll; Purchasing, Property Control and Vendor Relations; and Travel Reimbursement.

Qualification Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or other relevant field AND three (3) years of administrative support experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
• Ability to use at a high level of competency: e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and electronic calendar software applications.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Experience in maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
• Strong analytical skills & detail orientation.
Additional Requirements:
• Five (5) or more years of administrative support experience.
• Experience working in higher education or equivalent environment.
• Experience with Banner.
• Experience developing process & policy.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
