The Child Advocacy and Protection Division (CAPD) is seeking a Legal Support Manager (Legal Support Services Supervisor 1). Innovative problem-solvers who are interested in managing and mentoring professional support staff teams will excel as part of our team in this unique opportunity. The position’s official worksite will be the Medford Legal office, and the selected candidate will be required to report to the Medford office a minimum of two times per week.
If selected to join us, you will serve as the Medford Legal Support Manager and will be charged with providing excellent legal support and direction in assistance of division Assistant Attorneys General and legal processes. Additionally, you will become a part of the Southern Region Leadership Team and will play an essential role in the division to provide legal services to the Oregon Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division branches served out of the Medford office. - Oversee Daily Operations of Legal Support Teams in Support of Attorneys and Legal Processes.

- Proven experience supervising the day-to-day operations of support teams in accordance with appropriate laws/rules, legal concepts, and principals of law.
- Ability to build good working relationships and communicate with people at all levels.
- Experience reviewing needs of a team and the ability to manage workloads and provide services.
- Willingness to provide quality service to both internal and external customers.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Experience participating in professional development with employees including performance evaluations, ongoing coaching, and potentially disciplinary actions.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to effectively interact and work with people of various cultural backgrounds.
- Predictable and reliable attendance, including the ability to work after hours to accommodate project schedules and requirements. Limited travel in state as necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and other appropriate technology.

- Three years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license.
