What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meat Dept. Manager position at Oregon Dairy?
The Meat Manager is responsible for maintaining high levels of quality and freshness of all products as well as offering the freshest cuts of meats. They are also responsible to promote quality customer service through the direct supervision of the staff.
Maintain a friendly, respectful and professional manner with customers and staff
Delegate tasks via the list of jobs that need to be completed for the day
Order from all vendors to maintain best price and quality
Maintain culture of Customer first
Maintain sanitization standards
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in retail meat operations or related field
Knowledge of and ability to cut all meats
·Good communication skills and pleasant manner for dealing with staff and customers.
Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work days, evenings and weekends.
Must be able to work independently.
Working Knowledge of profit & loss, food cost and percentages
Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach, grasp, bend, walk, climb or balance, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, talk, hear, smell, taste, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Ability to work in a cold climate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42 – 45 per week
