Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club is a private member-owned club, recognized as a Distinguished Club™, located in the Town of Orchid, just north of Vero Beach, and beautifully situated on 600 acres from the ocean to the river.

Job Summary

Perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance. Projects a positive image of self and Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

• Mows greens, tees, collars
• Weed eats lake banks and bunker faces
• Rakes and maintains sand bunkers
• Edge cart paths, bunkers, sprinkler heads, and drains
• Prunes and removes debris and picks up trash when it is observed.
• Fills divots with sand on tees, fairways, and drop areas.
• Maintains and applies mulch/pine straw to beds.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis.
• Cleans and returns equipment to designated locations within the maintenance facility
• Performs visual inspections after each use and reports equipment problems, failures, or safety issues to head mechanic or supervisor immediately
• Assists in the application of fertilizer, seed, and pesticides under the direction of their immediate supervisor
• Understand and comply with all policies set-forth in the Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club Employee Handbook

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license, preferred.
• Previous experience operating light motorized equipment preferred.
  
  

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

• Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession.
• Ability to comprehend and learn tasks associated with golf course maintenance.
• Working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools, as well as other equipment.
• Ability to operate light motorized equipment.
  
  

Working Conditions And Physical Requirements

• Be courteous to all members, guests, and co-workers.
• Wears uniforms and uses appropriate safety equipment and measures at all times.
• Occasional sitting.
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, pulling: exposure to loud noise levels and chemicals.
• Must be able to see and hear.
• Continuous standing, walking, repetitive actions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs as needed.
• Physical resolve to work outside in the typical climate conditions and temperatures of Florida.
• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
• Requires regular in-person attendance.

16 - 16 USD per hour(Orchid Main Account)
