Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver to transport residents, staff, and materials to and from appointments, activities, and community outings. The Driver plays a key role in ensuring timely, comfortable, and safe transportation services.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, community outings, and facility-related activities.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage records, and schedules.
- Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including wheelchair securement.
- Comply with all state and federal transportation regulations and facility policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by facility management.
- Setup resident appointments and maintain the schedule calendar
- Communicate transportation schedules with nursing and administrative staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in working with older adults.
