OVHS After-School Remedial Program – Certified ELA Teacher
Program Dates: Tuesdays–Thursdays, January 20 – May 21
Position Type: Part-Time ($35 per hour)
Reports To: Building Admin
Position Summary
We are seeking a certified ELA teacher to support our After-School Remedial Program. The teacher will provide targeted literacy intervention to students who need additional support in reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary development, and foundational literacy concepts. This position includes direct instruction, progress monitoring, and individualized learning path management through the Exact Path program.
Responsibilities
- Use Exact Path to create, assign, and regularly update individualized learning pathways for each student.
- Monitor student progress through Exact Path reports and adjust instruction as needed.
- Maintain clear records of attendance, student work, and academic growth.
- Communicate with program coordinators, classroom teachers, and families as appropriate regarding student progress.
- Ensure a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Attend any required training sessions or planning meetings before or during the program.
Schedule
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
- From January 20 to May 21
- Program hours: 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Qualifications
- Valid State Teaching Certification in English Language Arts (or Elementary Education with ELA endorsement).
- Familiarity with Exact Path or willingness to complete training.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with staff and support diverse learners.
