POSITION: (1) Robotics Coach (Schedule B)
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor high school students in designing, building, and programming robots.
Create a collaborative and creative team environment.
Teach robotics concepts, engineering, and programming through hands-on activities.
Organize team meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Support students during robot construction, ensuring safety and rule compliance.
Seek resources and sponsorships for the robotics program.
Stay updated on robotics trends and tech advancements.
Prepare students for competitions through practice sessions and strategy development.
Travel with the team to competitions and provide on-site coaching.
Promote robotics through outreach events and demonstrations.
Qualifications:
Robotics expertise, including design and programming.
Previous coaching, mentoring, or teaching experience.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C , or Java.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Organizational skills for overseeing the program effectively.
Knowledge of safety protocols for robotics activities.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
