works under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Community Based Services. This role is responsible for executing organizational priorities, long-term planning, and overall day-to-day management of Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) across the organization. The Manager ensures the integration of BHIS with other provider teams and services, aligning operational goals with the organization's mission. The Manager position is responsible for leading initiatives to enhance service delivery, continuum of care, financial sustainability, and team performance, while maintaining a strong focus on quality care and client outcomes.
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to the Senior Director of Community-Based Programs.
Oversees BHIS Case Managers, BHIS Supervisor, BHIS Team Lead.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
The duties and responsibilities of the Director, BHIS Operations will generally be discharged within a forty-hour week. However, the needs of the program will dictate the hours of work. Remuneration will be in line with education, experience, and training.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

GENERAL: At the time of employment and every three (3) years thereafter, the person shall receive a physician’s certification of adequate health to perform duties. At the time of employment and throughout employment with the agency, the person shall have a valid Driver’s license and show proof of valid liability insurance on own vehicle.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must pass and/or complete: New Staff Orientation, Mandatory Reporters Training, Crisis Prevention Institute training, and any additional training required by the supervisor during the first six months of employment.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field and a minimum of five years of experience in human services, including supervisory experience. Experience in program management and implementing program goals/priorities is essential. Demonstrated leadership in managing large teams, developing innovative solutions, and executing strategic initiatives. Experience with budget management, program development, and high-level stakeholder engagement is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to executive teams, staff, and external partners. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions. Ability to manage multiple projects, solve complex problems, and guide the organization through change.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and general correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from superiors, other employees, clients, and persons outside of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to interpret and communicate about budgets.

- Provides supervision, mentoring, and leadership to the BHIS management team, including Supervisors, Team Leads, and Case Managers. Leads efforts to recruit, retain, and develop high-performing staff. Designs training programs and leadership development pathways to ensure continuous improvement.
- Drives collaboration between BHIS and other service areas to create a seamless continuum of care for clients. Serves as a key liaison between clinical teams, ensuring BHIS is fully integrated with other organizational services and community partners.
- Oversees compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies. Ensures BHIS meets accreditation and funding source requirements. Implements quality control measures to ensure high standards of service delivery.
- In collaboration with the Sr. Director of Community Based Services supports the development and implementation of new services and programs to address unmet community needs. Encourages innovation within the BHIS team and ensures alignment with evidence-based practices.
- Utilizes data analytics to drive decision-making and program development. Monitors staff performance metrics, outcomes, and client satisfaction to ensure program effectiveness. Develops outcome-based measures to motivate staff and improve client outcomes.
- Provides oversight during crisis situations, ensuring appropriate responses and staff support. Ensures that staff are trained in crisis prevention and intervention.
- Participates in key organizational committees as needed, including those focused on operational and clinical transformation.
