Duties
- Develop and implement nutritious, appealing menus aligned with dietary guidelines and residents’ specific health requirements
- Supervise and train dietary staff, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and hygiene
- Conduct patient assessments to determine dietary needs, including specialized diets such as tube feeding or diagnostic evaluations
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of meals, ensuring quality control and adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to create comprehensive care plans that incorporate nutritional strategies and health coaching
- Manage departmental budgets, monitor inventory levels, and ensure cost-effective purchasing of food supplies
- Supervise dietary department operations, including compliance with regulations related to assisted living facilities and food safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dietary management within assisted living or healthcare settings
- Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, dietetics principles, and care plan development
