Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for our client in New York!
Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia care across 15 Main ORs and 4 Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) in a Level 2 Trauma Center setting.
- Treat patient demographics including adults, geriatrics, and patients aged 16 .
- Function independently within a supervised care team model (MD supervision ratios of 1:4 general, 1:2 cardiac) alongside scrub techs, RN circulators, and anesthesia techs.
- Utilize Epic EMR for patient charting while upholding hospital stroke-certified operational protocols.
Qualifications:
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible status.
- Required life support certifications including BLS.
- Active New York state medical license.
Schedule:
- Coverage Needed: Active clinical coverage requested on an ASAP – Ongoing basis (locum, locum-to-perm, and perm candidates considered).
- Shift Structure: 2–3 FTE positions providing scheduled clinical hours (in-house coverage provided for evenings, nights, and weekends).
- Call Requirements: Scheduled clinical hours only with no call requirements.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in delivering independent anesthesia care across general and cardiac surgical settings (nerve blocks are not required).
- Excellent collaboration skills to work within supervised team models and alongside surgical support personnel.
- Proficiency with Epic EMR systems for clinical documentation and charting.
All travel expenses are reimbursed by our client and Orchard covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage!
