About the RoleOrcha Systems partners with national IT service providers to fulfill field service and infrastructure projects across the U.S. As a Field Network & Low Voltage Technician (1099), you’ll be assigned on-site jobs on behalf of Orcha Systems and/or its service delivery partners. Clear instructions, documentation, and expectations will be provided for each assignment.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment (switches, routers, access points)Terminate and test Cat5e/6 cables and patch panelsInstall and service low-voltage systems, including:CCTV / surveillance camerasAccess control systemsPaging and speaker systems Perform basic site surveys and validate layoutsSubmit documentation, photos, and job notes after each visit Requirements2 years of experience in networking, cabling, or low voltage systemsFamiliarity with cable testers, punch-down tools, labeling, and tonersAble to read diagrams and perform clean, professional installsOwn transportation and standard toolsetSmartphone or tablet for on-site documentation Nice to HaveExperience with brands like Cisco, Ubiquiti, Meraki, Hikvision, or VerkadaExperience in retail, QSR, hospitality, or commercial environments Schedule & CommitmentFlexible project-based schedulingProjects range from short-term deployments to ongoing workDepending on availability and job volumeTravel/mileage may be compensated depending on scope
