Facilities Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and overall functionality of a facility. This hands-on role involves helping with repairs, cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep to ensure the workplace environment is safe, organized, and running smoothly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with routine building maintenance, including minor repairs, painting, plumbing, and lighting.

• Support the setup of meeting rooms, furniture moves, and office rearrangements and equipment setup.

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.

• Schedule and supervise maintenance work and external contractors.

• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, office materials, and other facility-related inventory.

• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers (e.g., cleaners, contractors, HVAC technicians).

• Respond promptly to employee service requests and facility-related issues.

• Ensure health and safety standards are followed and assist with compliance documentation.

• Conduct regular inspections and maintain safety records.

• Help maintain exterior areas such as parking lots, walkways, or loading docks, as needed.

• Assist in emergency response situations (e.g., fire drills, building evacuations).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or a related role is a plus

• Basic understanding of building system (e.g. electrical, plumbing, HVAC)

• Able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods of time

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

• Familiarity with OSHA or local safety regulations.

• Problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset.

• Strong attention to detail and proactive approach.

WORKING HOURS:

Monday-Thursday, 5am to 3:30pm

Pay: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour
