Oxbow Middle School is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to serve as the Middle School Boys Basketball Coach for the 20262027 winter season.The successful candidate will provide a positive, structured, and developmentally appropriate experience for middle school student-athletes while emphasizing skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.ResponsibilitiesPlan and conduct organized, age-appropriate practices.Teach basketball fundamentals, strategies, teamwork, and sportsmanship.Provide a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all student-athletes.Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities.Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, school administration, and the athletic department.Promote Oxbow's expectations for academics, behavior, and sportsmanship.Follow all school, district, and athletic department policies and procedures.Attend all scheduled practices and games.Preferred QualificationsPrevious basketball playing or coaching experience.Experience working with middle school-aged students.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.Willingness to complete all required coaching certifications, background checks, and school/district requirements.Interested candidates should submit the required application materials through the school district's employment process.
