We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Permanent Substitute at Orange County High. Responsibilities

• Fill in for teachers during their absences, delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and maintaining classroom order.
• Engage students in learning activities, ensuring that they understand the material and are actively participating.
• Support students with diverse learning needs and adapt instructional strategies as necessary.
• Collaborate with school staff to implement effective classroom management techniques and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere for all students.
• Monitor student behavior and address any issues promptly and appropriately.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including grading assignments and maintaining student records.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a classroom setting, preferably as a substitute teacher or teacher's aide.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
