Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and conduct daily practice sessions that enhance players' skills and teamwork.
- Develop game strategies and provide guidance during matches to optimize team performance.
- Monitor and evaluate individual and team progress, providing constructive feedback to players.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and personal growth.
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities, schedules, and player development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices and games.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of players for the JV soccer program.
- Collaborate with the varsity coach and other staff to align training and development objectives.
- Manage team logistics, including equipment inventory and transportation arrangements for away games.
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with student-athletes.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes to reach their full potential.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred; must be willing to obtain if not currently certified.
- A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during the soccer season.
