The Housing & Community Development Division is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Project Coordinator. This key position conducts special project assignments and provides administrative support to the assigned division. It is assigned to the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) team and reports to the Assistant Project Manager of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund team.

Work is performed with considerable independence under the Assistant Project Manager through observations, reports and results achieved.

Job Description

Representative Duties/Assignments:

Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.

  • Assists the supervisor with the work program tasks including the implementation of programs and projects funded through the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF)
  • Independently administers affordable housing programs and activities identified in the AHTF Plan strategies, including but not limited to: preservation of affordable housing units, land acquisition, and other sub-strategies of the AHTF for affordable housing development and preservation.
  • Assists with drafting and implementation of contractual agreements for projects and activities funded by the AHTF.
  • Tracks and monitors contractual agreements and special projects.
  • Prepares detailed reports for special presentations or assignments.
  • Interprets regulations and conveys the information accurately and effectively orally or in writing.
  • Attends meetings with special interest groups, various professional and community groups, non-profit agencies, private and non-profit developers, and the public to promote the AHTF program, and develops public outreach and marketing materials.
  • Coordinates with internal and external agencies and assists with general meeting preparation and necessary public contact.
  • Provides technical assistance to funded agencies and various stakeholders on as needed basis.
  • Assists with program implementation and monitoring and compliance of AHTF funded projects and activities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in an area of government or nonprofit administration; or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.

Preferences

  • Experience working with housing projects and/or project administration
  • Excellent oral and written professional communication skills
  • Good analytical and computer skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Technical or professional writing experience

Salary Information

Pay Grade: 015 - From $25.00 to $32.49
