What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant II-Animal Services position at Orange County Government?
The work is primarily responsible for providing assistance to walk-in customers and callers, entering data and information, ensuring necessary paperwork is completed, maintaining files of records and reports, receipting fees and donations and processing paperwork for animal intakes and adoptions.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor with some leeway for independent judgment within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures in the performance of duties, both in terms of planning and accomplishing work and in making decisions. This position does not supervise staff. Does related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from High School or General Educational Development (GED) test equivalency AND two (2) years of work experience in a front office setting providing customer service and performing data entry, bookkeeping, cashiering and clerical functions.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Salary : $39,175 - $44,072
