The Zoning Division is comprised of a team of 36 diverse and talented staff members, responsible for residential and commercial permitting review, addressing, arbor and landscaping review, processing variances and special exceptions, and reviewing cases that go before the Development Review Committee, among other responsibilities.
The Zoning Division is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant . This position will provide administrative support to the management team and Zoning Division staff. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Division Manager and is reviewed through meetings, conferences, reports, and results achieved.

Job Description
Representative Duties/Assignments :
- Performs various complex administrative and confidential duties supporting divisional manager.
- Composes, proofreads and edits division correspondences, documents, memos, spreadsheet, minutes, logs, and reports for final approval or signature of division manager.
- Responsible for travel arrangements for the Division.
- Provides administrative support for the Board of Zoning Adjustment and prepares board or committee decisions for presentation to the Board of County Commissioners .
- Schedules, coordinates and prepares meetings and agendas, as needed; collects and provides support materials.
- Ensures appeals and public hearings requests are handled in a timely manner.
- Responsible for Public Records Management for the Division.
- Process purchase requests, invoices, refunds, and P-Card/T-Card documentation.
- Support payroll processing as payroll custodian.
- Serve as first line support for computers, printers, and office equipment issues reported by staff, assessing the problem and determining whether it can be resolved inhouse or requires escalation to ISS.
- Serve as the division's inventory custodian for all technology and equipment assets, maintaining accurate records of computers, laptops, monitors, phones, and other electronics, and coordinate equipment turn ins
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
