What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at Orange City Area Health System?
Description: The Occupational Therapist organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury; helps patients reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. This is a rural generalist position with an emphasis in pediatrics, but will include, acute and skilled care level patients, outpatients, home health patients, and nursing home patients. You will work with other OT's in the department to ensure all patients are given high value care.
Number of Hours: Part-time or Full-time, 16-40 hours per week.
Schedule: Typically from 8am – 5pm, with some variation based on patient needs.
Educational Requirements: Degree from accredited school of occupational therapy by ACOTE® and valid state of Iowa licensure required.
