Job Title: Design Coordinator
Job Type: Full-time, salary, non-exempt
Pay: $55,000 to 60,000.00 (Based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with art directors, design managers, editors and traffic department to ensure the workflow of all jobs, assist in art notes and review proofs.
- Coordinate, hire and communicate with freelance designers.
- Track and mange artists and illustration library.
- Route and manage line sheets and sales Power Points.
- Create sales Power Points when needed
- Assist in CAD and mockup revisions and corrections to print production files
- Assist VP of Creative with tasks and department operations
* This is not a design position, but must have a keen eye for design and color. There may be a small amount of production responsibilities such as making corrections to Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator files.
General Responsibilities:
- Make sure deadlines are met and communicate with all departments to keep workflow running smooth and maintain schedules and budgets.
- Follow design department procedures, protocols, standards, and SOPs.
- Maintain positive relationships with the sales, editorial, design, and product development teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of print production, manufacturing and commercial printing, as well as an understanding of 4/c printing.
- Excellent people skills and friendly personality.
- Keen eye and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Mac computers, Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Power Point and Excel.
- Strong work ethic and team player.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-centric environment.
- Highly organized with ability to keep track of own schedule and deliverables.
Education and Experience:
- 4-year degree from accredited college/university preferred
- 3 years of experience in a design and project management related role
