What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oral Surgery Assistant position at Oral Surgery Office?
Oral Surgery Dental Assistant needed. Must be self-motivated, team player, and responsible. Excellent communication skills are necessary during staff interaction, patient interaction and during post-operative follow-ups. The ideal candidate must be confident and attention to detail oriented, while working as a team player and individually. Experience preferred, otherwise must be trainable/teachable and have a positive enthusiastic learning attitude.
Job Details:
*Chairside Assisting in Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide and IV Sedation/ General Anesthesia Surgical Cases.
*Anesthesia Monitoring and Proper Recording/Charting.
*Taking Panorex, 3D (CT Scans) and Periapical X-Rays.
*Proper Recording of Vital Signs (BP, HR, EKG, etc.).
*Set-up/Break-down, Sterilization, and Cleaning of Surgical Trays/Rooms/Instruments.
*Computer Documentation into Electronic Medical Record.
*Must be willing to be cross trained to assist in front office, as needed; the candidate is expected to have: ***Excellent Customer Service Communication Skills and ***Basic Office Administrative Skills.
