Job Title: Maintenance – Custodial
Department: School
Reports To: Building Principal
SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of a Skilled Maintenance person to maintain the buildings and grounds of the school.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in performing needed maintenance and repairs on school buildings.
- Assist in the maintenance of school grounds and playground equipment.
- Assist in the service and repair of cafeteria equipment.
- Assist in the setting up for food service and in the delivery of food service items between schools.
- Assist in the maintenance of heating, cooling, and temperature control systems.
- Carry out oral and written instructions.
- Assist in the removal of trash, rubbish and other waste from school premises.
- Assist in the setting up of equipment for school activities.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following approved guidelines.
- Demonstrate satisfactory work habits and attitudes.
- Follow district policies and procedures as adopted by the Governing Board.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or Principal.
QUALIFICATONS:
1. High School graduate
- Ability to push, pull or lift weight in excess of 50 pounds.
- Dependability
SCOPE AND SALARY:
260 day position as an at-will hourly employee based on the support staff salary schedule, with holidays, vacation, and benefits according to district policy.
EVALUATION:
To be conducted by the designated Principal with the assistance of a Skilled Maintenance person.
Salary : $16 - $16
