Electrical Engineer

Hiring: Electrical Engineer (Building Electrical Systems)

Location: Boise, ID (Primarily Remote with Scheduled Onsite Work)
Duration: 12-Month Contract

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading engineering team supporting innovative building and industrial facility projects. This role is primarily remote, with onsite work required approximately 50% during the first month and one week per month thereafter in Boise, ID.

Responsibilities

• Design building electrical systems for commercial and industrial facilities.
• Select and specify electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
• Review vendor submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure designs meet NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, construction, and project teams.
• Provide field engineering support during installation and commissioning activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 5 years of experience designing building electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards.
• Experience with electrical equipment selection and vendor submittal reviews.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT Certification or Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing facilities or cleanroom environments.
• Field experience supporting construction projects.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM/CAD software.

Work Schedule

• Boise, ID
• Primarily Remote
• Onsite approximately 50% during the first month, then one week per month thereafter
• Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
