Director of Nursing (RN) – Emergency Services (ER)

We're partnering with a leading healthcare organization seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (RN) – Emergency Services to provide strategic leadership for a high-volume Emergency Department. Compensation & Benefits
$70,000 – $130,000 annually
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus

Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations and strategic direction of the Emergency Department.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and department performance.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Develop, mentor, and support nursing leaders and clinical staff.
- Collaborate with physicians, executive leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Monitor department quality metrics, patient satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered emergency care delivery.
- Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Current Alabama RN License (or eligibility to obtain)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Emergency Service
- Strong experience leading multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation
- Strong analytical skills with experience implementing performance improvement initiatives
- Current BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification required (or ability to obtain within the required timeframe)
- No restrictions on nursing license
