Optomi, in partnership with a major consulting firm, is seeking a Configuration Engineer. This role is ideal for a hands-on configuration and integration specialist who can support, customize, and enhance complex insurance administration platforms. You’ll work directly on platform configuration, workflow updates, system integrations, production support, and regulatory-driven enhancements across a globally distributed environment.

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
• Configure, update, and maintain platform components based on business and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production issues, including L2/L3 support.
• Customize workflows, rules, and configuration tables to support ongoing enhancements.
• Support integrations between internal systems, third-party services, and core insurance platforms.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and offshore development teams.
• Participate in UAT cycles, prepare documentation, and ensure configuration changes meet quality standards.
• Assist with compliance-driven updates tied to policy, billing, rating, or regulatory changes.
• Monitor configuration deployments and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience of the Right Candidate:
• 3-5 years of experience in configuration engineering within insurance or financial systems.
• Hands-on experience configuring enterprise platforms (e.g., PAS, billing, claims, or similar system environments).
• Background in supporting production environments and resolving complex L2/L3 issues.
• Experience with system integrations, APIs, data mapping, and workflow configurations.
• Familiarity with regulatory updates, insurance domain rules, or compliance-driven configuration work.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to collaborate with distributed teams and communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
Salary : $45 - $55
