Overview
Optomi, in partnership with a leading medical provider, is seeking an IT Project Manager to support a major facilities expansion initiative. This role will oversee core IT infrastructure projects tied to a large-scale hospital acquisition and campus integration effort. The IT Project Manager will coordinate multi-phase technology deployments across newly acquired facilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT standards. This role requires a proactive, adaptable professional with strong communication skills and the ability to operate in fast-paced, fluid environments with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead IT infrastructure workstreams for new construction, facilities expansion, and healthcare facility integration projects.
- Manage the deployment and replacement of technology assets—including computers, printers, network equipment, telecom systems, and peripheral devices—across several thousand devices.
- Oversee a two-phase rollout including outpatient clinics and a 270-bed hospital.
- Coordinate logistics, schedules, and resources across cross-functional teams and technical workstreams.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with leadership, onsite teams, and technical groups; adjust communication style for each audience.
- Identify issues, drive resolutions, and maintain project momentum without escalation or handholding.
- Ensure alignment with ITSM practices, organizational standards, and deployment requirements.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheet for project planning, documentation, tracking, and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of IT Project Management or related infrastructure experience.
- Hands-on experience with IT hardware deployment and infrastructure rollout projects.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following areas:
- IT Service Management (ITSM)
- Network and Telecommunications
- Cybersecurity
- Support Services
- Desktop Engineering
- Email & Collaboration
- Hosting Services or Systems & Applications
- Audio Visual or Mobility
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Self-starter who can operate independently and adapt quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP certification (not required but a plus).
- Experience with large-scale deployment of computers, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Healthcare industry experience (nice to have).
- Workday familiarity (nice to have).
- Support Services background is a strong plus.
