Trade Analyst

Our Client is seeking a highly analytical Trading Analyst to support the Financial Trading Desk by developing valuation models, conducting market analysis, and delivering insights that inform portfolio-level trading strategies. This role will create tools, reports, and frameworks that help traders and the Portfolio Manager make timely, data-driven decisions. The position reports directly to the Portfolio Manager (Director - Financial Trading).

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development of valuation models and frameworks to support trading strategies.
• Document model design, automate processes, and maintain a model library for the trading desk.
• Generate timely and accurate reports that provide key insights to traders and the Portfolio Manager.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis on individual trades and portfolio-level strategies.
• Contribute trade ideas and engage in strategic discussions regarding portfolio performance.
• Partner with Traders and the Portfolio Manager to enhance the use of daily fundamentals, valuation tools, and strategy decks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum: 1-5 years of experience in a data science or analytical role; financial or energy trading analytical experience preferred.
