Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:Maintain and ensure the functionality and safety of all company owned and operated facilities.

PurposeofPosition:The Maintenance Tech position is to have skilled personnel to maintain the facility and equipment in safe working condition and make repair to such equipment and or building systems.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance procedures.
• Maintain and service building systems equipment.
• Monitor the grounds and dispose of debris in proper manner.
• Change-out light bulbs and stained or defective acoustical ceiling panels.
• Determine parts needed to perform the repair.
• Maintain storage areas in orderly condition.
• Troubleshoot problems and resolve the issue.

Specific Duties:

• Change out filters on HVAC units.
• Charge HVAC units and pull vacuum if needed.
• Replace ballast in lighting fixtures.
• Replace commodes and/or replace parts.
• Make repairs to water faucets and drain systems.
• Replace electrical switches and receptacles.
• Operate lift equipment to 25 feet and replace lighting.
• Replace light fixtures and diffusers.

Skills:

• Can operate basic hand tools i.e., hammer, saw, drivers, sockets, etc.
• Must have the ability to use ladders and work at a height of 20 feet.
• Can produce weekly time report by using excel spreadsheet.
• Must be able to work independently or within a team setting.
• Able to work on multiple jobs successfully and timely.

Qualifications / Knowledge:

• Can produce timecard by using excel spreadsheet.
• Has acquired a GED or High School diploma
• Has an active Universal HVAC EPA license
• Must be able to bend at the knees and waist.
• Dependable and on time to assignments.
• Must have two years’ work experience in commercial facilities capacity.
• Must have a record of dependability and timeliness.
• Ability to speak understandably and listen with comprehension.
• Able to lift to 50 pounds on to a material cart or table.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

Ability to Relocate:

• Austell, GA 30168: Relocate before starting work (Required)
