Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff to join our team in providing essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Direct Care Staff member, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized care, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to residents by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and health status, ensuring accurate records are maintained in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist residents with mobility needs, utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary to ensure safety during transfers.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's unique needs.
- Keep and maintain proper documentation and shift notes
- Administer medications as prescribed while observing for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive atmosphere within the home or community setting.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in direct care roles such as home health aide, caregiver, or similar positions is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and the ability to recognize changes in resident behavior or condition.
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in senior care or hospice care is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required for resident mobility assistance.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
