Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Newark, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–8:00 PM
Approximately 25 Hours Per Week
EVECAL CARE is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to a young client in Newark, Ohio.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with young individuals and be committed to providing consistent, person-centered support while promoting independence, safety, and community involvement.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 3:00 PM–8:00 PM
- Approximately 25 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support and supervision
- Assist with daily living and personal care needs as required
- Engage the client in recreational and community activities
- Encourage independence and development of daily living skills
- Provide companionship and meaningful engagement
- Follow the client's individualized service plan
- Complete required service documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain professional communication with the family and EVECAL CARE management
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Current automobile insurance
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional
- Previous experience working as a DSP, caregiver, or with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
