Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator specializing in Aluminum Composite Material (ACM), Metal Composite Material (MCM), and aluminum composite panels. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing specifications, and collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and project teams to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. Your expertise will drive cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive estimates for ACM, MCM, and aluminum composite panel installations
- Utilize estimating software to prepare detailed cost proposals and bids
- Conduct thorough quantity take-offs from construction documents to determine material and labor requirements
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure estimates align with project scope, schedule, and budget constraints
- Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process and update estimates as needed for accuracy
- Assist in contract review and support contract negotiations to optimize project profitability
- Support cost control efforts during construction by providing accurate forecasts and identifying potential cost savings opportunities
- directly report to the Manufacturing and Fabrication operations manager
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, particularly within the façade or cladding industry involving ACM/MCM/aluminum panels
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management processes
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Familiarity with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and bid preparation processes
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents accurately
Compensation
- Starting at $25.00 per hour, with higher compensation available based on experience.
