As an Information Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting organizational data, networks, and systems from evolving cyber threats. You will contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of security controls, while actively monitoring for suspicious activity to detect, investigate, and respond to security events. This role partners closely with IT and business stakeholders to strengthen security practices, reduce risk, and support key security initiatives across the organization.
What will you do in this role?
- Monitor systems and areas of responsibility to prevent, detect, and investigate security alerts
- Support the development and continuous improvement of security initiatives and strategic focus areas
- Coordinate, facilitate, and maintain access review schedules
- Provide security guidance and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Maintain and enhance information security documentation
- Deliver accurate and meaningful security metrics to leadership
- Contribute to operational security initiatives and cross-functional risk reduction efforts
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply innovations to security standards and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams, business partners, vendors, and external stakeholders to gather information and recommend best practices
- Conduct security reviews, evaluations, and risk assessments, and provide actionable recommendations
What skills & qualifications are required?
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT security role
- Experience designing and implementing information security policies
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with data loss prevention (DLP) tools and techniques
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and respond to DLP alerts
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools
- Experience conducting and reporting on vulnerability and penetration tests
- Experience supporting or participating in security audits
- Ability to monitor, evaluate, and respond to security events
Certifications
- Required: CompTIA Security
- Preferred: CISSP, Microsoft Security Certifications (e.g., SC-200), CCSP, CCNA, CCNP Security, SailPoint, Microsoft Purview
Salary : $130,000 - $140,000
