Position Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and versatile Hotel Bartender / Server to join our Food & Beverage team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at the bar, as well as taking and serving food orders for guests in the bar, lounge, or dining area. You’ll play a key role in delivering a welcoming and memorable dining and drinking experience for our hotel guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Bartending Duties:
- Greet guests at the bar and take drink orders promptly and professionally
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests according to recipes and brand standards
- Ensure guest compliance with legal drinking age and hotel alcohol policies
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked with all necessary supplies
- Monitor guest consumption and behavior; ensure responsible alcohol service
- Process drink orders from servers and hotel staff efficiently
Food Service Duties:
- Take food orders at the bar or in the lounge area; enter orders accurately into the POS system
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and respond to additional requests
- Clear tables, restock condiments, and maintain cleanliness of dining and bar areas
- Assist with basic food prep
General:
- Accurately handle payments, process credit card transactions, and balance cash drawer as needed
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Provide information about menu items, hotel services, and local attractions
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, front desk, and other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a bartender, server, or in a food & beverage role (hotel experience is a plus)
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and responsible alcohol service
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol
- Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certification (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS)
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift and carry up to 25–50 lbs
- Bending, reaching, and frequent use of hands
