PRIMARY DUTIES
The Production Manager ensures that manufacturing operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards and objectives.
- Lead and supervise production teams to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues and improve product quality.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train, coach, and develop team members to enhance performance and engagement.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on production metrics to senior leadership.
- Manage labor, materials, and equipment to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Support new product introductions and process changes on the production floor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, manufacturing processes, and production planning.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred:
- Experience in HVAC or related mechanical/electrical manufacturing industries.
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
